The Conservancy is thrilled to spotlight Champion member Indra Bowers. When she isn’t running her powerhouse communications business, 62ABOVE, Indra is kicking back in Balboa Park!
1. What do you love most about Balboa Park?
How much it has to offer. It was an essential part of raising my kid (the Zoo, the Carousel, the Train, the kiddie park, and the Model Railroad Museum!), and it has also been a constant source of culture (The San Diego Museum of Art, Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego Art Institute, and The Old Globe) while also being one of the best places in the world to just take a walk.
Indra, we couldn’t agree more!
2. What are you missing about the park right now?
Walking around and smelling the roses in the rose garden.
3. What is a fun fact about you?
When I was a little kid growing up in NYC, I went to Central Park all the time. But it was the 1960s and my grandmothers loved to put me in black patent leather Mary Jane’s to go to the park! Not the easiest for climbing on the jungle gym.
Thanks, Indra! You help raise the banner for YOUR Balboa Park.
