The Conservancy is thrilled to spotlight Champion member Tavette Neskorik. Tavette, like many of us right now, shared that she’s been missing the park and her weekly “sanctuary for walks.” Here are a few of her thoughts on her beloved gem of San Diego:
What do you love most about Balboa Park?
I love that the park has appeal and many activities for people (and pets) from birth to 100 years old! Some of my favorite memories with my niece have been created by spending time at the Fleet Science Center and the Museum of Man, going to see the Grinch during the holiday season, and staring into the koi pond. And I know that, as she grows older, her love for the park will continue as she explores new activities.
What are you missing about the park right now?
The thing I’m currently missing the most is my Wednesday after-work walk through the park with a cool-down drink at Panama 66 while listening to some amazing free jazz by the Young Lions.
What is a fun fact about you?
If there could be a mayor of Balboa Park I would run for office! LOL
